Sustaining Recovery

Sustaining Recovery

The Sustaining Recovery program is a long-term (12-18 months) outpatient treatment option designed for people with an addiction to opioids, heroin, methamphetamines or other substance. The program utilizes proven strategies - post-acute withdrawal symptoms, regular drug testing, relapse prevention - along with cognitive behavioral therapy to treat the complex, overlapping symptoms common with addiction.

Participants also focus on their physical health by identifying how to integrate good nutrition, regular exercise, proper sleep and other lifestyle interventions into the recovery process. Throughout treatment, participants learn the importance of being accountable for their choices by working with the treatment counselor, other group members, family and friends to address the reason(s) for their addiction along with their personal recovery strategies.
