Mental Health is a growing concern all over the world, and the need for services continues to expand every day. However, far too many individuals are left without access to treatment. On average, 4 out 10 people who need care aren’t receiving it. Some of the barriers to mental health treatment are social stigma, lack of access to resources, and financial constraints.

How to ask for help?

The stigma surrounding mental health may cause people to avoid therapy out of fear of being labeled “mentally ill”. Asking for help can be tough, but here at ZVHC, we want you to know you’re not alone. We strive to be a safe space for you to work through common mental health struggles like anxiety, depression, or substance use. We also specialize in complex cases for individuals who are dealing with multiple concurrent mental health conditions. Our team works together to address psychological, physical, emotional, and social needs to provide comprehensive health care in a supportive environment. A referral is not required to request an appointment. Simply call 507-289-2089 or request an appointment online. We will guide you through every step of the process in a judgment-free zone.

What mental health resources are available?

One of ZVHC’s goals is to break down the barriers to mental health services and make them more accessible for everyone. We treat both adults and children and offer a wide variety of services, including family counseling. Our facility also includes on-site dental, pharmacy services, and residential treatment. We offer peer-to-peer counseling, workshops, support groups, and online communities. If community support isn’t for you or you feel uncomfortable coming into our facility, we also provide telehealth services. Mental health issues are different for everyone, so support and treatment options should be too. We are here to develop a customized plan with you.

Where can I find affordable mental health Services?

We know cost can be a factor in seeking mental health support, and we want to help alleviate that concern. ZVHC accepts many types of insurance, and we are one of few facilities that accepts Medial Assistance. No Insurance? No problem. Our staff can direct you to programs and community support options you may be eligible for. We also offer a sliding fee scale for residents of Fillmore and Olmsted counties. ZVHC doesn’t deny services to anyone, regardless of their inability to pay. We will work with you to ensure you get the care you need.
