About
As a person in long-term recovery, I’ve seen firsthand the success of individuals who attend treatment and actively participate in their recovery, whatever that may look like for them.
One of the things I appreciate most about this line of work is the opportunity to teach and encourage clients to employ new skills, tools, and perspectives that are beneficial to their recovery while staying respectful of what they’ve gone through and where they’re at in this given moment.
Understandably, trust can sometimes be a foreign attribute to those suffering from a substance use disorder. My goal is that the client feels that they’ve been heard, treated with respect and dignity, and feel as though we’re genuinely advocating for them to find a place where they feel confident and empowered by their recovery and the progress they’ve made.
