About

Katie has experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the community and client’s homes with children and adolescents diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. Also, she has experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing ABA therapy to children with ASD. During her internship at ZVHC, Katie provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety related disorders, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns.

Katie has interest in several different modalities including cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Her special clinical interests include working with individuals who struggles with self-esteem, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns.

Katie brings a joyful, uplifting energy into therapy sessions. She embraces challenges with grace, encourages her clients to reflect, and strives to create a safe space for her clients as they work alongside each other. She validates, challenges, and empowers her clients to make changes in their lives to obtain their therapeutic goals. Katie is passionate about embracing positivity, helping clients heal from painful experiences, and encourages her clients to communicate their needs and emotions.

In Katie’s free time, you can find Katie spending time with her loved ones, attempting to cheer for the Minnesota Vikings, and working out.
