About

As a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), Sydney has spent the past seven years working closely with youth ages 4-12 while working toward independent clinical social work licensure. She has experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents experiencing behavioral challenges, difficulties with emotional regulation, trauma-related concerns, anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties.

Sydney utilizes trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches to support clients in their growth and healing. She incorporates play therapy techniques when working with younger children and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions with older youth. She has experience delivering these modalities in both individual and group settings. Sydney’s clinical interests include working with children and adolescents, strengthening family relationships, supporting marginalized populations, and affirming and empowering members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Sydney creates a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment by building genuine rapport and trust with her clients through humor, play, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. She believes that meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood, valued, and empowered to explore their experiences. Sydney strives to meet each client where they are at while supporting them in identifying strengths, developing coping skills, and working toward their personal goals.

When she’s out of the office, Sydney enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and testing her cooking skills with a new recipe.
