Zumbro Valley Health Center was one of fifteen companies representing Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona counties recognized as the \u201cBest Places to Work\u201d in Southeast Minnesota by Workforce Development, Inc.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u201cBest Places to Work\u201d awards program was a commissioned study by Workforce Development, Inc. The purpose of the program was to recognize some of the best employers in our local area and provide vital information to companies about the practices they use to attract and retain employees. Each company participating was required to complete a 40-question survey that allowed their employment practices to be analyzed by the consulting firm of Personnel Dynamics Consulting of Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Data was measured on such parameters as: turnover, rate of growth, promotion rates, employee evaluations and feedback, percentage of employee injured, diversity of management, benefits offered, training expenditures, paid days off and increase in pay. Workforce Development, Inc. and the Winona Workforce Development Board joined forces to bring \u201cBest Places to Work\u201d program to Southeast Minnesota and awards were presented during a virtual celebration on April 22nd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur inclusive work environment not only provides meaningful careers for our staff and providers<\/a>, but we also focus on supporting our personal values,\u201d says Beth Krehbiel, Chief Executive Officer. \u201cFrom establishing new and creative ways to provide school-linked mental health services to taking a stand against systemic racism to supporting our local LGBTQ+ community, we continuously strive to make a difference in the lives of our colleagues and clients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are honored to provide mental health, substance use, primary care, and community-based services to twelve counties throughout southeastern Minnesota. For more than 50 years, our main goal<\/a> has been to provide evidence-based, culturally appropriate care that is sensitive to the diversity of our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n
