About
Spencer has experience working in outpatient and community settings with adults and adolescents, providing therapeutic services for anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, OCD, substance use, and mood disorders.
He uses a trauma-informed approach to promote acceptance and make treatment enjoyable. Spencer utilizes a holistic approach to therapy and believes the therapeutic relationship is essential to promoting growth and change. He incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered and humanistic/existential approaches, motivational interviewing (MI), and solution-focused strategies when working with individuals.
Spencer is passionate about helping people overcome adversity and become the best version of themselves. He believes that all people, given the right circumstances, are capable of just about anything. He strives to create a warm and safe environment where people can share as they feel comfortable.
In his free time, you can find Spencer spending time with family, fishing, or working on one of the many unfinished projects at his home.
